I paid unfortunate and unexpected tribute to the late Shane MacGowan this year by spending the first half of Christmas Eve in the drunk tank. The tail-end of a stay that, owing to the limited holiday availability of County Magistrates, lasted twenty-two hours. Twenty two hours in the fucking tank.
Let's not make this a tradition, maybe.
